Who Are You?

You Have Purpose

Over the last year God has started to move me into my purpose.  It all started when he had me do a lesson on finding your purpose in Christ. At the time I didn't understand that finding your purpose in Christ meant leaving everything I thought was right for my life behind to start over to become who God say's  I am vs what the world says I am! Despite who my family wants me to be, who I think I should be, who the devil wants me to be, yet to be who God created me to be. Well since I have now started to discover really who I am I thought I'd share with you things God shared with me along the way to help me find me.

Finding yourself usually starts knowing you have purpose!

Five Directions

Life can take   us in many directions depending on where you are headed. Yet a lot of people wonder this world just go in the motions of what society told them to do. Not even knowing that they aren’t just here just to be here. We all have a purpose the bible say’s many are called, but few are chosen (Matthew 22:15). A lot of us grow up our whole life trying to figure out who we are and what we were created for. Some will even go there whole life. We let several things define who we are, society to define who we are, the devil and his lies, people, even ourselves. Yet we never truly ask God to define us.
9Genesis 1:27 says  So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God has an image for us that he made us in yet often our image doesn’t reflect one that looks like God when we look at ourselves or when other’s look at us. Things such as pride, jealousy, low self-esteem, much more stair back at us in the reflection. Maybe you see your parent’s, Society, Devil(Someone no Good), or maybe you just see yourself but you are longing for something so much more.
Now ask yourself who’s plan for your life are you following? Now a lot of people will have the attitude oh I do my own thing why would I need direction from anyone else. Then others they follow the direction that was given to them by their parent because they love their parents and don’t want to disappoint them. Society definitely has a plan for your life things like “ the American Dream” but what happens after you have all that then what? Of course we all have dreams of our own when we are young people will ask us the famous question” what do you want to be when you grow up?” What about God have you ever asked him what his plan for your life is? Did you ever wonder if you have been wasting this whole time on earth keeping busy yet not really getting anywhere in life because you’re not walking in your true purpose?

A Step Closer to Freedom
Write down what the plan that was planned for your life for each one of these categories?
1 What was Your Parent plan for your life?

2 What was Society plan for your life?

3 What is The Devil plan for your life ( Sins you struggle with)?

4 What is Your plan for yourself?

5 What is God plan for your life?

If you can’t answer what God’s plan for your life is, it is a great time to pray and seek God to find out why you were created.

The key to what will help bring you close to understanding your purpose in Christ is your talents! Mine would be writing, poetry, talking, blogging, youtubing, and of course helping people overcome because I am an overcomer! This brought my ministry together!

So think write a list of your talents, skills, abilities that God can use you to serve?

Getting Rid of Some Junk

Next is asking God to get ride of things in your life that do not belong. Clothing, people, old relationships, old pictures of who you were vs who you are( you can't define who you were with you are now), maybe its a career that you have molded yourself into being, God actually took me out of college to show me who I am! Weird but that's what he needed to do to show me my purpose in life! Old habits, unforgiveness, bitterness, your past all have to go! If you can't let go of your past God can not show you who you are because to know who you are you have to be in the present now not the past then.
